Watch Natasha and Imogen's winning entry for the Sports Reading Challenge and find out more about Mikaela Shiffrin and the relentless pursuit of a skiing legend. Mikaela Shiffrin isn't just the greatest skier of her generation-she's one of the most inspiring athletes of all time. From her beginnings on the snowy slopes of Vail to the Olympic podium at just eighteen, Shiffrin's career has been defined by brilliance, precision, and discipline. But her story is far more than victories and medals. It is also about grief, heartbreak, and the courage to come back stronger after the world has watched you fall. In Mikaela Shiffrin: Edge of Greatness - The Relentless Pursuit of a Skiing Legend, author Jeremy B. Dyson takes readers deep into Shiffrin's extraordinary journey: The child prodigy who became a world champion. The devastating loss that nearly stopped her career. The Olympic heartbreaks that revealed her humanity. The historic record-breaking comeback that secured her legacy. More than a sports biography, this is the story of resilience, vulnerability, and the redefinition of greatness. Shiffrin's journey reminds us that true champions are not flawless-they are those who rise, again and again, no matter the weight of expectation.
