Mrs. Stefanie Ashkettle
Mrs. Ashkettle has an undergraduate degree in Communications (English, Journalism & Speech) Education from Kent State University, and a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a reading endorsement from Cleveland State University. She is beginning her 26th year in education and her 23rd year at Chagrin Falls High School.
Mrs. Melanie Hoffmann
Mrs. Hoffmann has a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Kent State University. She has been a teacher at Chagrin Falls High School since 1996.
Mrs. Jean Kanzinger
Jean Kanzinger holds a BA in English and an MEd in Curriculum & Instruction [Literacy]. This is her 15th year teaching and her 6th year in Chagrin Schools. She serves as Co-Director of the Illuminate Student Film Experience for the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival. Jean has been a member of the Teacher Consultant Council for National Writing Project at Kent State University since 2012.
Mr. Ken Kasee
Mr. Kasee graduated from Kent State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education for English Language Arts. He then graduated in 2016 from Kent State with a Master's degree in Education with a focus in K-12 Leadership. Mr. Kasee previously taught at Maplewood Career Center in Ravenna for four years before accepting his current role as high school English teacher at CFHS in 2015. Since then has taught CP English 10, Creative Writing, Speech, Honors English 11, Photojournalism, and Newswriting. He is passionate about using publication classes like Photojournalism and Newswriting to teach real-world skills through tackling large projects. Additionally, Mr. Kasee is the head coach of the Speech and Debate team, now in his sixth year. He lives with his wife Casey and dog Murphy in a glass house in the woods.
Mrs. Karen Phillips
Mrs. Phillips graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in English Education and has a Mater's degree in Education from John Carroll. She is in her 31st year of education and 28th year at Chagrin.
Ms. Bobbie Serensky
Ms. Serensky has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Youngstown State University, and a Master of English from Middlebury College. She is beginning her 25th year in education and her 20th year at Chagrin Falls High School.
Mr. Culler Stuart
Mr. Stuart has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a Master in Education from Ashland in Curriculum and Instruction. He began his career teaching at Lorain Admiral King High School prior to arriving at Chagrin Falls High School and also currently works as an Adjunct Professor at Cuyahoga Community College.
