CISP 1 [Grade 1]

Students are going to explore various literacy programs such as Reader’s Theater for reading fluency, CI Book Club for reading comprehension and decoding strategies, and Writer’s Workshop for creating their own books!

We will also spend a few blocks exploring swimming with Ms. Sue!

The learners will explore and have conversations about various types of food around the world. We will read storybooks, and different cooking recipes, practice writing and create our own recipes book in Korean. Students will learn to cook some simple dishes from prepping, cooking, eating to cleaning.

We will also spend a few blocks exploring Korean cultural activities, such as making illustrations for recipes with calligraphy.

Let’s learn intonation and pronunciation through performing poems, songs, and dramatization. This class will help you become a more fluent and confident public speaker.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas together. It helps children learn key skills including: problem-solving, communication, and collaboration through teamwork. Students learn to be creative and innovative while completing projects from start to finish.
