Project: Super Hero

Projects emerge from all kinds of places; maybe someone notices something on the playground, maybe friends develop a new dramatic play scenario, or perhaps a new material enters the room. This project began when Rhett shared that he was disappointed that our classroom did not have any superhero toys. When asked, "do you want to make one?" his enthusiasm was contagious. Soon everyone in the room was working on their own character. Then, everyone wanted to make houses and hideouts for the heroes. Finally, each child created and photographed their own comic strip!
