This catalytic project, funded by the Gates Foundation, will help deliver a more coherent and effective set of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, Impact Assessment and Foresight (MELIAF) functions in CGIAR, enabling stronger organizational delivery and impact, improving CGIAR's offer to small-scale producers and national systems.

By integrating a common taxonomy across CGIAR’s MELIAF data and products, and positioning these components and the teams delivering them into a common MELIAF Framework, CGIAR will be better able to bring quality and comprehensive assurance, learning and foresight information to bear.

Together with key internal and external stakeholders, the MELIAF Project will:

Engage and foster a stronger MELIAF Community
Create a shared MELIAF Taxonomy
Develop and use a MELIAF Framework
Establish a MELIAF Hub
Pilot the Taxonomy, Framework and Hub through three "Activator Projects"
Enable CGIAR to communicate about impact in a more engaging way
