Where were you born and where did you grow up? Where did you go to high school? I was born in Pawtucket Memorial Hospital and I grew up in Central Falls most of my life, although I lived in Colombia (not Columbia!!) for 6 years. Currently live in Lincoln

What did you want to be when you were growing up? I was always intrigued by computers growing up, however I wanted to be either a pilot in the air force, a Lawyer or a psychologist/psychiatrist. To say the least I ended up in a computer related field which I love. As they say if you do what you love you will not work a day in your life

How did you get into computer science? Growing up I was always intrigued on how things worked, computers were one of the things that always interested me and kept my attention. So I guess I have always been into computer science and its relevant fields.

What other jobs have you had? My first job was working as a janitor, after that I worked at a McDonalds that used to be on Broad st when I was growing up. I have also done construction, roofing and a field tech for networking companies. I am also a Machine Gunner/Mortarman (Infantry) in the United States Marine Corps which I served from 2008-2016.

What is an average day at work like for you? Well my day begins at 14:30 (2:30 PM) I usually come in about half an hour early and catch up and respond to emails, after that I look at tickets that have been escalated to my team and work them as they come in. when techs have issues in the store and can’t figure it out they call into us to help them out.

What is your favorite part of your job? I enjoy every part of my job, especially when I have to troubleshoot a store and do a deep dive into the system to figure out what the issue is and if it can be fixed either remotely or with the help of a tech onsite.

What is the best opportunity you have had because of computer science? The best opportunity I have had because of science is working here. The ambience, colleagues and coworkers are amazing, and if I don’t wake up saying I don't want to go to work that’s a successful day in my book.

Any great stories about working in computer science? One time we had a store that was completely down when researching what the issue was we found out that there was a car that had driven through the front of the store taking out half of the store including the network along with it.
