Mr. Hatcher graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Special Education (’02). He received his Master’s in School Counseling from the University of St. Thomas (’13). He has spent 9 years as a L.I.F.E. Skills teacher and 9 years as a Co Teacher.  

His passion is never saying no to someone in need and motivating others to achieve their goals and overcome challenges. He is married with 3 children and enjoys cooking/making BBQ, music, and golf. Mr. Hatcher is an active volunteer in the community in multiple groups.  

Being a Dean Mustang is one of his proudest achievements. Go Mustangs!

Mrs. Gaines is a product of Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District and has been gainfully employed with the district for 14 years. She received both a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Master of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. 

Her passion is to assist students with meeting their short- and long-term goals academically, behaviorally, and personally.

Mrs. Akrie graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston in 2020. Mrs. Akrie has worked in the field of education since 2014 working at both the elementary and middle school levels.

She is passionate about her family, friends and the students and families that she serves at Dean Middle School.
