Lunch cannot be changed in a student's schedule.
Transition to Middle School
This transition can be difficult for some students but we are here to support!
If you/your child are having a hard time in any area (academic, emotional, social), please reach out to the Counselor's office.
Planning Ahead
It's never too early to start planning ahead! Your 3 years in middle school will fly by and before you know it you'll be in high school.
Take advantage of opportunities both in and out of the classroom to discover your interests and set yourself up for success in high school and beyond!

Who: Incoming 6th grade students and parents
What: An opportunity to see a draft of your schedule (it could change), walk the building, and meet your principal, assistant principal and counselor.
When: Wednesday, August 6th, 2025
Where: Dean Middle School
The 2025-2026 Course Selection process will begin later this school year! Students will be given their course selection sheets at a later date (TBA). This is the only way to document the elective courses your student is interested in taking in 7th grade. Failure to return this form will result in their electives being selected for them. If you have any questions, you can contact the current 6th grade counselor, Mrs. Hobson, via email lakeysa.hobson@cfisd.net
If your child was absent or did not receive the form, they can pick one up in the Counselor's Office .
