Step 1: Sign in to Canva

Go to canva.com/edu-signup and use your CFISD Google Profile to create a Canva account.

Or sign in if you already have an account.

Step 2: Browse & Select a Template

Choose 'Flyer' or 'Poster' from Canva Template options. Explore the huge array of templates available to you.

Step 5: Add Elements

✨Start Designing! Browse through millions of free and premium images, photos, illustrations, icons and stickers and play around with filters, frames and grids.

    • Rearrange elements on the page as you prefer. Choosing a color scheme or background, and experiment with different fonts and color combinations.

    • With 'Photos' option in the menu on the left-hand side, search and add relevant photo(s).

    • Add your own images, using the 'Upload' option.

    • Insert some shapes or graphics from the Elements section. Try simple lines to divide sections or decorative stickers.

📸 Photo Editing

Canva has a photo adjustment feature that enables you to tweak your photo’s colors to suit your design. You can apply Filters to adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation, tint, and other aspects to make sure that you precisely get the graphics you want. If you prefer, you can also make use of Canva’s filters to quickly adjust the colors.

  • Choose a photo design template below or upload a photo of your own on Canva. After choosing a photo you’d like to edit, click on it to activate the photo editor toolbar. Experiment with the range of Canva Photo Filters and Enhancements. Adjust Brightness, Saturation, Tint, Clarity and more. Apply Effects, Filters, Crop and Flip images as preferred.

🔗 Ways to share your designs

  1. Open the design that you want to share.

  2. Select Share from the menu bar above the editor.

  3. Choose between View-only link (anyone can view), Watch links (anyone can watch your video design), or Template link (anyone can use your design as a template). To see the Watch link or Template link options, click on ••• More first.

  4. Select 'Copy' to copy the link.
