LAYERS: Objects, text, and images can all be placed in front of or behind one another, forming layers. Selecting an object or text layer that is behind another object layer can be challenging because Canva will always select the topmost layer. Go to the Position tool to send objects to the back or forward. Lock any element in place, so you can’t accidentally move it around while you’re designing.

With Text Animations, you can generate animated lettering and typography for your message to stand out. Make your texts pan, fade, pop, or even tumble across your design in just a few simple clicks.

1. Click or tap to select the page, text box, or element that you want to animate.

2. On the editor toolbar, click or tap on Animate.

3. On desktop: To preview an animation, hover your mouse cursor on it. You’ll see your design animate.

4. To apply an animation, click or tap on it.

5. After applying an animation, click or tap to select the page, and click or tap on the Edit timing from the editor toolbar.

6. Download in MP4 or GIF to capture every movement you've selected.
