Let's Celebrate!

Since the launch of Game On CFB in November 2015,

CFBISD staff have earned over 5000 digital learning badges! The number of staff who engage in online learning to further their professional thinking grows every day, and we are SO PROUD OF YOU!

Here's to all of the giddy Googlers, the digital dreamers, and the coding crusaders who have gone above and beyond to bring digital learning to their students & staff over the last four years. We are always inspired by your drive and commitment, and we are so lucky to get to work with and for you.

New... Staff Showcase!

We're adding a new section to our Game On CFB newsletters this year... to celebrate you! Each edition of the newsletter will highlight CFB teachers and staff across our campuses.

Amanda Price

Amanda Price is a 14 year veteran math teacher at R.L. Turner! She is a leader among the Lions' pride with 14 badges and is working on earning more.

Here’s what Amanda had to say about Game On CFB: “Game On CFB gives me the opportunity to further my understanding of various digital resources and find ways to incorporate them into the classroom as well as earn badges to proudly display my accomplishments!”

Emily Hamill

Emily is a fourth grade teacher at Rosemeade Elementary who has totally embraced digital learning! Every year, she helps her fourth grade students become more savvy with their tech. They are digital authors, digital escape artists, digital editors... you name it! She's also a resident Google Drive & Google Apps expert. You go, girl!

To date, Emily has earned 20+ badges - her innovative spirit is an inspiration!

The Fine Arts Family at Perry MS has earned several badges this school year! They have been celebrating all over social media and we could not be more proud!

Hour of Code: Coming Soon

It's almost that time again, gamers!

Starting in November, CFBISD will celebrate the power of computer science by providing students in all grades an opportunity to explore coding through the Hour of Code.

Hour of Code resources are free to use all year and make a great extension activity!

Since its launch, more than 100 million students in over 45 countries have practiced coding for more than 800 million hours!!The Hour of Code initiative is dedicated to equalizing opportunities to experience computer science for students of all genders, backgrounds, and ages.
