I'm happy you are here! If you are new to Freeman, my name is, Erika Welch and I am one of the school counselors here at Freeman. I have been a part of CFBISD my whole life as I am a product of CFBISD. I attended Central Elementary, Dewitt Perry Middle School, and graduated from R.L.Turner High School in 1995. I started working as a teacher at Creekview High School in 2002. While teaching I began working on my master's degree in counseling in 2006 at SMU. I was brought on at Freeman in the fall of 2008 as the school counselor.
I am working to stay connected and available to my students and families as we adjust to all the new ways of living. I hope that you will find the information and the resources I have linked helpful. Freeman Elementary
Freeman Elementary is dedicated to providing continuous support to our families during remote and traditional learning. I am available to meet with students virtually as well as in person (when we begin re-entry) Monday through Friday. If you feel your child has an academic or personal/social need that would benefit from an appointment with me, please complete the Google form linked HERE or the button below.
Your counselor will receive notification of the request and will respond as soon as possible.

CFBISD has a counseling center providing social and emotional support to all CFBISD students and their families free of charge. Children’s Health partnered with with Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD to provide CFBISD students and their families access to FREE telehealth and telebehavioral health services over the summer.
