Today you are taking your group to the Art Gallery of Toronto.
You will be receiving the tickets from the Activity Coordinator the day off
Once you arrive at the AGO, enter first by yourself and have the students wait outside, mention to the AGO employee that you are here with a school group and they will then further guide you
As a school group the students will be able to place their belongings into cubbies
Charge your phone fully and bring a power bank
Review the risk assessment for the day’s itinerary and route
Ensure you have the group register and the group leader's contact
Make sure you have the tickets you need to enter with your group
Inform the group leader about the day's itinerary and route
Wear the yellow shirt for easy identification
Spend time and interact with the students
Take group photos at key locations and upload them to PhotoCircle

12:00PM: Meet activity coordinator at OISE on 5th floor for huddle
12PM- 1PM: Supervise & talk to students during lunch time
1:00PM: Meet your group and take Line 1 Southbound subway to St. Patrick Station
1:10PM: Get off at St Patrick Station and exit via 438 University Avenue
1:15PM: Walk 450m south on Dundas Street West until the AGO
1:30PM: Enters the AGO and check in as a school group with the museum employee
1:35PM: Students will place their belongings into the cubbies.
1:35PM-3:30PM: Students form small groups and roam around the museum.
3:30PM: Activity Leaders meet their group on the main floor
3:45PM: Groups will pick up their belongings in the cubbies, then make their way to St Patrick Station
4:00PM: Activity Leaders dismiss their groups

The Art Gallery of Ontario has permanent exhibitions that are open all year. These exhibitions are a great way for students to explore art, history, and culture.
When guiding your group, you can highlight three main areas:
Canadian Art – Show students works from the past and present, and discuss how Canadian art has changed over time.
Indigenous Art – Introduce the stories, traditions, and ideas of Indigenous peoples in Canada. This is an important part of learning about Canadian history.
European Art – Explore paintings and sculptures from different countries and time periods. Encourage students to notice the styles, colors, and techniques.
Over 90,000 artworks – The AGO has one of the largest art collections in North America.
Founded in 1900 – The gallery has been showing art for more than 120 years!
Famous architect – The building was redesigned by Frank Gehry, a world-famous architect known for creative and unusual buildings.
Canadian art treasures – The AGO has the largest collection of Canadian art in the world.
Indigenous art focus – The gallery has an important collection of Indigenous art that tells stories from Canada’s First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities.
Largest art museum in Toronto – It covers a huge space with more than 40 galleries.
A building with history – Parts of the AGO building are more than 100 years old, and some parts were modernized with glass and steel for a fresh look
