Filling out the FAFSA/Financial Aid Resources

Seniors planning to enroll in college this fall, who are seeking financial aid, should apply for federal student aid through the FREE APPLICATION FOR STUDENT AID (FAFSA). The FAFSA Application opens up on October 1st. Please complete your paperwork as soon as possible! In California awards are made until the funds are depleted, so an earlier filing is better. Federal financial aid will help pay for education expenses at eligible colleges, technical schools, and vocational schools through grants, work-study, and loans.

All students should consider applying for financial aid because you won't know if you qualify unless you apply. You will need a Federal Student Aid ID. This is an electronic access code that serves as your personal identifier and signature. You can apply for a FSA ID in advance at https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm

Undocumented students should apply for financial aid using the California Dream Act. https://dream.csac.ca.gov/

Filling out the FAFSA--Portal Opening October 1st, 2020!

The FAFSA stands for Free Federal Student Financial Aid. Most students who apply will be eligible to receive federal loans, scholarships, grants and be eligible to participate in work-study programs to help families pay for the cost of college. If you are applying to a four year college or a two year community college you must fill this form out! ANYONE (no really, anyone) can fill out the FAFSA for FREE. You will need to sit down with your parents or legal guardians and work together to complete this form as it will require tax information. The FAFSA portal opens on October 1, 2020 so start filling it out as soon as possible!!!!
