Dear Families,

I hope all is well with you and that you are all adjusting to the changes that we are experiencing. The teachers and administrators have been meeting about the plan for digital education. I want to share what I have learned about the plan that your child will be accessing beginning on Wednesday, April 1.

1. The second grade teachers will all be sending out the same educational materials through Showbie for math and reading only.
2. The weekly lessons that your child will be completing will be pushed out the Friday prior to the new week and will be due the Friday of that week by 3:45 PM. So, they have the whole week to complete their math and reading assignments.
3. This week’s lessons will consist of review material. It will be available Wednesday morning and be due by Friday at 3:45 PM. The Showbie code for our class is on the school website. You will need to use it to get started.
4. The following weeks will contain new material that they will be learning.
5. As your child completes the work, they will need to send it to me through Showbie to be checked or graded, depending on the assignment.
6. The end of the third nine weeks will now be on April 8.
7. Teachers and students will be able to communicate together through Showbie for school related questions.
