Dates Pending

  1. *UPDATED 9/13!* FMCMEA Honor Choir (CS/MC)/(January 15th Performance): This is a performance opportunity for students who have gone above in beyond and show exceptional skills in voice. FMCMEA Honor Choir is a performing ensemble that is built by advanced individuals from Fresno, Madera, Clovis, and Sanger respectively. Students are accepted into this choir based on their music director’s recommendation (Mr. Sanchez). Students who express interest may be considered. Honor Choir rehearses 3-4 times in January/February, followed by an evening performance. Interested students will receive a detailed information page and confirmation in November/December. Details HERE!

  2. KVPR Performance (CS) (TBA/TBD): This is a performance in which our choir may perform on KVPR (Valley Public Radio) to showcase our ensemble. Radio slots for the “Young Artists Spotlight” are competitive as their programming is designed to seek the highest-level performing groups in the Central Valley. Should we be accepted, our choir would take a field trip to the KVPR station and perform a musical program that showcases our Advanced Choir program. Detailed information will be available should our group be accepted; also at the mercy of COVID regulations.

  3. *Disneyland/California Adventure Trip (All-Day Saturday, late May): This is our big trip for the 2021/2022 school year, in which we will perform/record and attend the Disneyland Park in Anaheim California. This trip will require fundraising and donations. Approval for our group's entry is based on completion of a fundraising goal (Est. between $2,000–$4,000) and an audition. In order to secure our reservation, a non-refundable deposit will be met OR the entirety of student cost (About $178.00 per member). Our entry of this event depends on an audio or video recording of our choir's performance. This performance is subject to CUSD board approval and our district's stance on safety regulations.

  4. *UPDATED 8/24!* CMEA Fresno Solo Festival (Select Members by Volunteer)/(April 2nd, Saturday): This is a festival designed for small music groups and soloists in a small setting. Each group performing may consist of different instruments or voices. Our performance venue may be a smaller setting which is designed to give students more confidence in their performances. Students interested in solo performance only need to contact Mr. Sanchez. This event is subject to CMEA and COVID regulations.
