My name is Homer Maldonado, I grew up in Mendota, a small town west of here. My family and I have been in the Central School District since my daughter was 6 years old. Both of my kids have attended Herndon Barstow Elementary and now my wife, Ariana works here too. We love the small town atmosphere Central has to offer.

Athletics has always been a big part of my life growing up. I played Football, Baseball, Basketball and Wrestled throughout my years in elementary, middle and high school. I have 2 kids, a boy and a girl and we have lived in the Central School District for 9 years. My favorite sport is Football and If you know me, you know I love the NY Giants. 

I have been coaching for many years, starting with my daughters soccer team when she was 5, currently I am a coach on my sons travel baseball team. Last year I coached my sons 10u undefeated soccer team. My dad coached me in multiple sports throughout my childhood and I have many fond memories. I want my kids to have that same experience with me.  The thing I enjoy about coaching youth sports is watching kids develop new skills, and overcome obstacles they didn’t think were possible until they give it their best effort.
