Our Central students are continuously collaborating with others. They are showing leadership skills by being team players, learning from others, and valuing what others can offer.
One example of synergy at work is the 6th grade leadership project of creating tie blankets. The 6th graders partnered with the Washington High School IMPACT program, a group focused on serving the community. They purchased all of the supplies, and our 6th graders worked together to make 85 tie blankets. These tie blankets were then delivered by the students in IMPACT to Illinois Cancer Center where patients were receiving chemo. These blankets were greatly appreciated, and our students learned valuable lessons and demonstrated leadership skills.
What a difference our students make!
