What does blended learning look like?

Blended students will have “required classroom time” and “non required classroom time.” During “classroom time,” students will be required to be in a traditional classroom setting. During “non-required classroom time," students will report to common space areas (Library, Commons) to work on assignments, be in a lab setting completing a required experiment, collaborate with students of the blended course, or schedule meetings with the teacher helping to improve skills needed to be successful for student achievement. Teachers will notify students when their blended and seat time is scheduled. It is the student's responsibility to adhere to the schedule.

What does this look like in a week?

Certain days of the week a teacher may request students to meet in class for small group or individual instruction, either for a full period or a half period. Teachers will give prior notification of these meeting times so as to schedule student online time accordingly.

Excused and unexcused absences fall under the same umbrella as traditional classes, per the student handbook. It is the student’s responsibility to keep track of required seat time. If students miss a required day, they will be marked unexcused absence.
