Personal Logo

For this project we had to create a personal logo to represent ourself. I wanted to keep my logo super simple because if you look at other logos like nike or apple they are just simple and straight to the point. My brainstorming was writing down a list of things that I like or I think of when I think of myself. I then went ahead and made sketches of those things. So when I started I began with a sumo wrestler because I thought it was humorous but then I thought would be to complex so then I looked at my sketches and I made one with a T and I liked that so then I thought of what colors look cool together and red whit and blue look great, it was perfect because I thought of the olympics and one of my dreams is to wrestle in the olympics and I also love America. I am really pleased with how simple it is. One thing I would change is add another slant on the other side of the T but I couldn't figure it out but I thought it would look fine either way.

Star performers program cover

For this project we had to create a program cover for the Star performers. I think the first thing I thought about for this project was spring. Since it takes place in April I thought of trees and flowers and soft design. To brainstorming I looked at some programs for other events and I got this idea from a wedding program that took place in the fall and they had orange leaves and different orange colors. That is how I got the idea for this project. I think the font I used represents flowing in the wind because it looks like everything is swaying to the right. The thing I really like with this project is the contrast between the light and dark colors like the green. and gold and pink.

Commencement cover

For this project, we had to create a cover for the graduation commencement this year. My research process was just looking at other covers on the internet and this gave me a lot of great ideas. I wanted to go with a more modern feel on my typography and do something different than most people, I wanted mine to be unique. I really like the layout I did on the front page and how everything ties together very well. I would spend more time with how it is laid out and I would move stuff around if I had more time to make it perfect.

Flawless smile dentistry

We drew words and had to come up with a name for a business I got a lot of good options to use, my first idea was expensive smile but I changed that because when someone sees the word expensive they are not going to be intrigued. My brainstorming I drew make up designs for the logo and I wrote the names down for the words I got. Then I picked my favorite one and went with that. I tried to make the smile look like lines in teeth and I found a font style that I liked. I found the mouth on iClipart for schools. I like the word smile in the teeth that was the hardest thing to get right. I had to keep adjusting it and make sure it looked right to me because the S was smaller then the E and it just looked weird. If I had to do something different I might do another companion design of a toothbrush kit or other dental hygiene objects.
