Haley Yutesler “Demon”
9”12”, pencil, blending with fingers and regular pencil blender, 2017
I wanted to do something creepy for Halloween since it’s coming up in a couple weeks, and I looked online and found some eyeball things and skeletons and I decided to do this, I got the finger idea from another drawing online. This symbolizes my love for Halloween and creepy things, because I am weird and not normal :) If I had to start over, I would make the spider bigger and have more creepiness in the eye makeup and probably make a different kind of eye, maybe like a black eye, but besides that, I absolutely love the way it looks, it’s very creeped out, and it looks realistic.
Haley Yutesler “Rock Poster”
18X24 , Water color ink, and paint marker, and sharpie, 2017
My style of this drawing is somewhat abstract because its bringing out certain things in the poster. It symbolizes my favorite artists of rock and I can identify to all the bands and they stand out. If I started over, I would probably make sure I got all the lettering and sizes and everything a little bit more carefully. But on the other hand, I love the background, it looks like something “rock like” exploded on my paper, and the silver really brings out the poster.
Haley Yutesler “Artistic Flower DIsplay”
9x12 , Pencil, and a 9x12 paper, 2017
I made it kind of geometrical, so it would blend together and look cool. I tried to just wing patterns and look them up and make it cool, if anything, the thing I want it to symbolize it is that it took a long time. If I started over, I would probably use a bigger cheat of paper because I could’ve made it even more interesting. I absolutely love how cool it looks, I don’t think I would ever think I could do that, I don’t have much confidence and I really loved them, it was so much fun to make and it took a lot of time and effort.
Haley Yutesler “Purple Pineapple”
9x12 , scratch paper, sharpie, pencil, and colored pencil, 2017
I tried to make my drawing seem a little bit realistic but, its also supposed to look fake because, pineapples are brown and a pee color, and mine is black and purple. I kinda wanted my drawing to symbolize boldness, because a lot of people like pineapples for some reason, but I tried to say, hey I am bold and different because I used different colors. I don’t think I would change anything, because I was just browsing around and was messing around drawing. I love the colors though, they are so bold.
Haley Yutesler “Scarred”
9x12, scratch paper, acrylic paint, pencil, blender, and colored pencil, 2k17
I’ve been in the mood for creepy drawings, and I couldn’t find anything online, so then I was looking Halloween makeup up on pinterest, and I seen this sfx makeup and thought, Oh I am going to do that, so it really was just one on my ideas. If I had to change anything, I would make the eye human like or completely black. I love the contrast, and the stiches on the cut give it more definition and more noticeable, and it looks so creepy and I love it.
Haley Yutesler “Day of the Dead”
9x12, scratch paper, pencil
I looked at ideas for Halloween and seen lots of skulls so I decided to make one for the day of the dead since we are learing it in Spanish. I love the contrast but if I were to start over I would use color.
Haley Yutesler “Rock & Roll Poster”
18x24, poster board, sharpie, graphite, ink, acrylic paint, pencil
I wanted to do a guitar rock and roll poster to be able to put up in my room to show my love for rock and roll. I projected a guitar and then separately projected angel wings because I didn’t like the pattern that came with the guitar picture that I first had in mind. If I could change something about it, I would’ve been more careful in the beginning because I wanted the guitar to be black and I accidentally painted the letters black first. I love the contrast between the shading and the deep black in the guitar. It looks super cool and I love it.
