Emily Stearns “Unforgettable”
2 ½ x5 ¼ x3 ¼, Acrylic Paint, Tephra Paint, White Sequin, Clear Bead, 2017
I watched I video called Masks From Many Cultures-screener and it showed a mascaraed ball mask and I loved it so I want to make one like that. I made one kind of like it but not. It was like it was similar but totally different at the same time. I was going to have string at the bottom but I did not put string because it would have taken too much time. If I started over I would have put string around it and I would have shaped the eyes better. I love all the colors and sparkles.
Emily Stearns “Bloom”
12x18,” Oil Pastel, Watercolor Paint, Hot Glue on Paper, 2017
I developed my idea by I looked up flowers and the beautiful flower that is in the middle is what I found. I thought it would look better if I put a pattern on the back so I put chevron. Also, I thought it look to plain so I put the two small flowers on the bottom. I want my audience to think of how the flower in the middle is a lily pad about to bloom. If I started over I would not do the chevron to ombre or even strips. I love the flower in the middle it is very beautiful and I thought I could never draw that and I am very proud of myself.

12X18,” Graphite on Paper, 2017
I had no idea what I was going to do then I asked a friend and she said to do a stage, so that is what I did.
A stage that is ready for someone to preform on but has not been preformed on in a long time.
I would change the darker shaded spots like the is some spots that are really dark and will not erase.
I love all of it but the parts of the shading like the dark parts.
Emily Stearns “Green Goo”
8 1/27x1,” Earthenware Clay and Glass, 2017
I know I wanted to do a triangle face. Then I want it to look kind of like a real face, but I did not want the colors to be like a face.
I made it by cutting and scoring and slipping.
My top square piece broke off while I was glassing so I had to hot glue it back on.
I would change the green background color to purple because I think it looks weird.
I love the shape and how abstracted it is.
Emily Stearns “Colors”
8.5x4.5,”yarn, string, 2017
I just went with it. I started and just kept going.
I want them to think that I did a nice job on the colors and that it is neat.
I would not change anything I like it hoe it is.
I love everything it looks neat and clean and colorful I love it.
