Plaster Masks
Colby Cornelius ”T-ruck"
10x14x3 plaster, acrylic paint, and wire. 2018
I developed my mask by starting with a paladin design and staying with that design and not changing anything. I used wire to connect the horns and mouth blade. If I were to do this again, I would make the horns more like my drawing and make the mouth blades longer. I like the color scheme, It goes well with the design.
Batik Oil Pastel and Watercolor Resist
Colby Cornelius “Birb”
9X12, Oil Pastel, Watercolor Paint, Hot Glue on Paper, 2018
I made this project by taking my favorite animal and putting a tuxedo on it. I want people to think of what thousands of years of evolution brought us. I would not change anything. I love the birds head. It is colorful and neat.
Ceramics

6”x3.5”x1”,” Earthenware Clay and Glass, 2018
I designed the mask by looking at other images. Most of them were square based so I decided to do it differently and make circles. I slammed a potato masher into clay and put all the pieces on the the bottom. For the other large circle I lightly pressed the potato masher into it. To make the small divots I pushed a nob into the clay. I want you to know I made the sides curved unlike most of the other masks. I would swap the red and white if I were to start over. I love all the spots on the red glaze. I also love the black corners.
Perspective Drawing
Colby Cornelius “Bruh”
12X18,” Graphite on Paper, 2018
I thought of a room in my house that would be cool and easy to draw. I want you to think of a break from the outside world when you look into this room. I would change where the couch goes. It covers most of the paper and it doesn't look too good. I love the square arch that's on the left side of the room. It makes everything fit together well.
