Masks

For my mask I used cotton balls, buttons, twirled paper, wire, plaster and dark red paint.
My Idea was to make a red panda. But as soon as I started painting the plaster I knew I had to think of another animal. So I just kept putting stuff on my mask and it turned out looking pretty cool! People should know my mask was not supposed to scare people and was not supposed to look like a lion. Some things I would change on my artwork would be a different animal. And I would try to make it a red panda next time. I loved how my mask turned out, And the process of making it. I changed it time after time and it was just fun.

I wanted to do a porcupine at the beginning of my thinking process. But when I started to try to sketch it it looked horrible! So I did two little hedgehogs. I wanted people to think or see that two porcupines where having a staring contest. I would not do a animal next time I did this project. Because I could not add as much detail as I wanted to. I love the crackling effect of it and the black wash because it makes it look worn out.

My idea was to make a ceramic mask that was different from everyone else, and I did accomplish that. I wanted even the colors to mix match and it looks a little weird but that's ok. I wanted my mask to have a mouth but then it looked horrible so I added a tooth. I think my mask needs more layers but other wise I think it looks pretty good.I want people to know that my mask has glass on it. And that it looks like Texas a little bit. I would want different colors but I love the way it sticks out from all of the others.

12x18 Graphite on paper, 2017
I started off by thinking of just a dog house, but when I started thinking it would have been a roof walls and maybe a blanket and that would have been boring so I kept the animal theme and did a vet clinic. I want people to know its a vet clinic because of the pictures hanging up on the back wall and from the wall hanger that said leashes. I would do a totally different thing IF I did the project again which I probably won't but still. And some things I love about this project is the shading because it brings out the picture and not it is in perspective. And I hated the process of making the whole thing but it turned out looking cool.

I loved how my colors blended together nicely and how I added the fringe. I would change how I did the colors I would want them to mis mach more and write a word.
