William Tennent Robotics was founded in 2018 and is the district's first FIRST robotics team. The Centennial School District supports the team each year by providing registration costs.
Owned by Mr. Howard Knorr, software mentor, Noetic Software has provided William Tennent Robotics with financial support since 2018. He also dedicates much of his time after school and on weekends.
The true amount that Mr. Knorr has donated cannot be calculated. He was nominated by the team in 2023 for the Woodie Flowers Award.
The Gene Haas Foundation was established to give back to the community by supporting local charities in Ventura County, California, where Gene Haas’ business is based. Early efforts focused on organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, Food Share, and the Rescue Mission, among others, to assist those in need. Over time, the Foundation’s mission expanded to support a cause Gene Haas is deeply passionate about: enhancing manufacturing education and introducing young people to careers in industry.
The Centennial Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports teachers in their quest to fund new and innovative projects. The CEF indirectly supports William Tennent Robotics by providing funding that supports the district's FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Technology Challenge initiatives. Through this support, students are introduced to FIRST's Core Values at an earlier age while gaining experience in STEM.
