Special Education supports and services at William Tennent High School provide identified students with individual educational programs. We focus on the individual needs and abilities of our students and provide supports and services to enable all students to learn successfully. In accordance with State and Federal mandates, we provide services including learning support, autistic support, emotional support and life skills support for exceptional students. In addition, we provide support services for students with speech/language/hearing, vision, and physical and occupational therapy needs. We strongly believe in transition planning so that students are prepared for post-secondary outcomes. WTHS believes in inclusion of exceptional students based on a team decision regarding what is appropriate and practicable for the student. A combination of regular and special education classes is frequently used to meet the needs of our students.
