Introduction
All groups will pitch their ideas for 2 minutes, and then take questions from the Sharks. After presentations, the class will decide which concession stand to financially support.
Preparation Needed for the Activity:
Students should have their Pitch Rubrics from the previous day. More blank copies should be available if needed.
Have a timer or stop watch.
Part 1 - Delivering the Pitch: 50-70 min
Students should gather everything they will need for their presentation, so that they can quickly transition between presentations. You will need to be strict about the 2-minute limit, so that you can get all the pitches completed in one class period. (Large classes may need part of a second day.) The Sharks' questions should be limited to 1-2 minutes. Students not presenting should be attentive to the other groups and should score all presentations other than their own on their rubrics.
Part 2 - Reflection of group work and assessment: 20 min
Allow time for the students to complete their rubrics and rate the work of their classmates. Have the class Sharks vote to determine which concession stand(s) they think is most worthy of financial investment.
