Global Scholars
Purpose
The Cedarburg High School Global Scholars program assists students in earning their State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Global Education Achievement Certificate. Through the Wisconsin DPI's Global Wisconsin initiative, the Cedarburg High School Global Scholars program challenges students to become globally competent learners and have the knowledge required to understand major world issues and different perspectives.
This website provides a broad overview of global education at Cedarburg High School. This site includes the Global Education Achievement Certificate (GEAC) requirements as well as upcoming Global Scholars events such as guest speakers and service learning opportunities.

What is It?
The Wisconsin Global Education Achievement Certificate is awarded to graduating high school students who have demonstrated a strong interest in global issues by successfully completing a global education curriculum and engaging in co-curricular activities and experiences that foster the development of global competencies.
Implementation
The Wisconsin Global Education Achievement Certificate is a voluntary and locally controlled program for high school students. It does not require additional funding. DPI approval is necessary to establish the program and award distinction of Wisconsin Global Scholar graduating students.

A Certificate of Completion with the state superintendent's endorsement.
Distinction for college and employment applications.
