Sing Out! Tenor-Bass Festival

Sing Out! Tenor-Bass Festival is a festival hosted by University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and renowned director, Dr. Zack Durlam. The event is open to any CHS student who identifies as male - no experience necessary - and participating students will prepare beforehand and later perform at CHS concerts.

WCDA All-State Choirs - Treble Clef Choir, Bass Clef Choir and Vocal Jazz Ensemble

Per the WCDA All-State Website:

All-State Choir celebrates some of our best young singers in the state.  The event is open to students from fourth grade through college, and is part of the WCDA Conference in January.  Students are chosen based on director nominations and should be trustworthy, skilled musicians who demonstrate academic prowess, intrinsic motivation, and focus in rehearsal.  In All-State, students get the opportunity to work with some of the nation’s best teacher-conductors, culminating in a final performance to the public.  The All-State Choirs challenge students to push their musicianship to a new level while giving them the joy and satisfaction of getting to sing alongside other distinguished musicians.

Singing in Wisconsin - WCDA

Singing in Wisconsin (SIW) is a festival that is perfect for those students who just love to sing regardless of ability. This special event typically takes place at four sites throughout Wisconsin on the second weekend of November.

Wisconsin Solo & Ensemble Festival

Drawing in more than 100,000 students each year from across the state, through the Solo & Ensemble experience, students learn the discipline of rehearsal, are challenged to advance their musical skills, perform in front of an audience and adjudicator, and receive feedback on their performance. Participation is optional but highly recommended for vocal growth and confidence-building.
