Important Rules for IGCSE
Please ENSURE the following:
Arrive to school on time
All materials must be in a transparent pencil case or a clear sandwich bag
Eat a healthy breakfast
Ensure that you get a good night’s rest.
Must have Student ID
Have the right attitude! Enter the exam room determined to get the highest grade possible.
Believe in yourself and your ability because your teachers are rooting for you to succeed.
Please AVOID the following:
Scheduling appointments during the IGCSE period
Traveling during the IGCSE period
Missing/not showing up for the scheduled examinations
Absence - Sick & Parental Request
Arriving to school late
If your child misses any components of their exams, they will receive a ‘U’ grade for that particular subject.
If your child does not show up for their scheduled exams, they will receive an ‘X’ grade for that particular exam.
*The letter grades ‘U’ & ‘X’ will be recorded as your child’s score*
Important Rules for IGCSE - IEP Students
Learning support students will be afforded accommodations according to their IEP. Examples of accommodations:
25% of extra time
Prompters
Separate Inviliagations
Human Readers - excluding English Exams
Scribes
**Students will have to qualify for the accommodations that have been listed above.**
What happens if your child is not successful?
Unfortunately, if your child is not successful in their IGCSE exams, you as the parent will be required to pay for the resit.
Resit of IGCSEs
Scheduled in October and November Series
Parents and/or guardians will have to pay at least $100.00 per exams
Your child must keep their notes and should review over the summer because once we return to school, it is not a lot of time provide assistance.
