After The War

Denmark's heroic acts towards the Jews were know throughout and after the war. If they had totally submitted to the Nazi rule there fellow Jews would have been taken to concentration camps and probable killed. This strength of will for the Danish people to rebel against a stronger force was truly incredible and it was a show of humanity to the rest of Europe, and an inspiration to the world. After the war Jews saw Denmark as a safe place to restart. Denmark also opened up their borders to immigrants after the war. The Danes were one of the only countries that did anything to help their Jewish neighbors and friends. If your neighbors and friends were going to get arrested and transported to some horrible concentration camp would you have done anything?
