Information for parents and students:
The Reading Tree is an Upper School service club that concentrates on developing English based curriculums for schools in developing countries. Unfortunately due to the cancellation of our experience week, we haven't been able to fulfil our goals. Therefore, we have created new goals and to give back to the CDNIS community. More specifically, we created a free learning program for Grade 3 students.
The purpose of our service is for upper school students to mentor grade 3 students to share the joy of reading. Through a supervised zoom call, the Reading Tree members will mentor Grade 3 students by engaging in reading activities and work through the process of analyzing a book. For this program, we have developed lesson plans with the guidance and advice from Grade 3 teachers in order to help students strengthen their comprehension.
