Will Ginter "king"

I first had the idea to draw animals and I like the way it's going. and since I wanted to draw an animal the first one that came to mind was a lion because of its strength and powerful image. 

I first started by the structure drawn out how I wanted.  I did the head then the eyes and then the fur outline. I then went into the detail part and shaded the face and hair to make it have more texture. I used an eraser after all the shading was done to texture the hair.

To me, this work is powerful because it's a lion and they are seen as the king of the jungle.  and I think that everyone Most likely thinks the same because the lion is such a sought-after animal.

I think the most difficult thing for me was bringing the artwork to life and it took a while to just make it look how it does now. I experienced new ways and it finally clicked for me. if could change something I would change the hair and make it look a little more detailed. 

I'd say this is realistic art. that is what I was aiming for at least and I think I executed it well. one thing that I really like about it is the eyes, I think that they are the best part of the work and they look very good.
