Tristen henningsen "Hood"
12x11 Paper/Pencil
The idea I got to sketch this was inspired by my first block class. Ive been really into welding since I was a kid and seen my Step dad welding in our garage. So with the college welding class im in currently I figured a sketch of a helmet would be cool. I started by sketching the outline really rough. Then I went back over it and filled in the lines thick. Then just a few touch ups. The artwork actually means alot to me because this is what I plan on devoting my life too and kinda working towards being a welder. I want the audiance to see how the helmet looks and almost wonder why you have to wear a helmet and the risks of welding. Well I always have a pretty hard time with drawing straight lines. So I usally have to lighlty sketch them and then go back over them to make them straight. I would honestly not change anything about this I would say this style of art is realistic just because I take and put on a helmet like this everyday. I love how good it turned out and how it actually looks like a realisstic welding helmet.
Tristen Henningsen " Snowboarder"
10x10 Paint/Canvas
So I got the idea from this painting because I love snowboarding. Over the winter I probobly went to chestnut resort 40 times just to snowbaord. I had alot of cool gear and had this picture that I wanted to recreat. So obviously I had to just paint that picture so thats pretty much were the idea came from. I just loved to snowboard and figured this would be a good painting First I had to get the backround a sky blue. Sketch out the outline of my body. Then just fill the lines in and make sure they are straight. The artwork means alot to me because I spent so much time snowbaording and maybe this will jog somone elses memory of snowboardings. Out on the mountain your not thinking about anything other than hitting the next jump and just having fun so hopfully this painting brings joy to somone else or jogs there memory of a fun time they had. Honestly just keeping everything straight together and not painting over lines is whats most difficult for me. Im also not the best at mixing the paints. What makes it unique to your own personal style? What do you love about it? This is definitly realistic and its literally my own style of what im wearing.
Tristen Henningsen "LV"
4x4 painting
Inspirations from life experiences? Another Artwork?Well I just bought a LV belt so I kinda got the idea from that. I needed somthing kinda on the easier side to paint so i figured this would be great. I kinda painted the back all black and sketched the letters on then proceded to paint. I had a little bit of trouble staying in the lines. I just used a canvas and then a little bit of paint and a brush it was fairly simple. The artwork kinda means a little somthing about my life to me and what I own since it was farly expensive. The most difficult part was drawing in the letters and keeping it nice and neat. If i started over I would go slower and definitly stay in the lines more. I would say the style is surreal and its defintily my own style cause the letters are a bit diffrent.
Tristen henningsen " Star cans"
can-paint
Inspirations from life experiences? Another Artwork?Well I seen the can and just started painting I didnt really have an idea or inpiration just pure determination. Um I do love stars so maybe that has somthing to do with it. I used a can some paint and that was about it. I just layerd the stuff on and hoped for the best. The artwork doesnt really have a meaning but it looks cool. It was definitly difficult to paint on a can cause it sticks wierd and you have to turn it. Id say this are is absrtact.
