My first idea was kinda based of my sketchs I planned on making a ben frank sculpture. But the original idea was difficult so I just planned on making a normal man. My idea was just to call it "The man". It kinda reminds me of an older sculpture like the easter island heads. When I was building it I started out with the base of clay and coiled up to the neck. I made sure to use slip to make it smooth. I then used paper to shape the round head. After that was built I constructed the nose and both eyebrows. After it was fired one eyebrow fell off so i left it because it makes a funny facial expresion. The most difficult part of this was definitly getting the roundness of the head. As you can see it didnt really turn out that round and it looks interesting. Also the nose was pretty difficult but I eventually got it to look good. I overcame alot of these struggles by just trying again and trying again. If I could restart I would definitly make the neck more straight and go for more of a round head. Id say this style of art is just casual. You can look at this and either wonder things abt its features but past that theres not much. I really like how uniqe it is and I havent really seen anything like it.

My first idea of this pot was kinda strung out. I was kinda wanting to go for a rough lid and a slim pot. I believe this was my first pot on the wheele so thats why the idea is kinda iffy. To make the pot I used the wheele which was actually kinda fun but balancing the clay was pretty rough. I also ended up having to shave down some of the clay because of it's thickness. I think this artwork shows how simple it is to make a pot with no experience. I also like the way the blue ties in the the clay color and the left over clay color. The hardest part of this was definitly centering the clay I feel like it took forever to do and it was kinda confusing. But it felt great when I did get it centered. Honestly I wouldnt change a thing if i started over maybe just spend a bit more time on it. Id say it's non objective because it's just a pot.

The idea? Well I was looking around the class and wanted somthing uniqe for the base so I took my large base and kinda rapped a coil towards the center and molded that in. Then I decided I would build up from that so my large pot was skinny. For the process you make the base the you take coils and coil up. Once done you slip the pot and make it smooth. Id usually do this for every 5 layers of coil. Then you fire and glaze. I feel like the artwork means not everthing turns out perfect. The pot exploded in the cilm and I don't really see that as a bad thing honestly I just think it makes it more unique. I think the most difficult part was making the pot smooth. The pot was so big to begin with it felt weird to work around it and definitely took time. But I just pushed through and finished the pot which looked good until it exploded and now looks even better! Id say this is a non objective art piece just because it doesn't really have a pupous mostly just a look.

The idea I got from this was actally the same molds of bunnys ontop of the glaze shelf. I remember seeing them on the first day of school and thought they were pretty cool. So when I got the chance to use the same mold and make the rabbits for myself I thought that would be great. Basically you get a mold and place the mold together using rubber bands. after you do that you dump slag into it and then wait and repeat till full. When done you can take the mold apart and fire and glaze your piece. The artwork doesnt really mean anything but id like the audience to think about how cool the little bunnies look. It kinda reminds me of somthing that my grandma would have in her house maybe somone else can relate to that. If i started over I would definitly take more time to make them solid and get them glazed and fired. The most difficult part was just tying the rubber band around the mold suprisingly. Id say the style of art is surreal cause the rabbits are real!
