The objective of this project was to make something unexpected by putting two or more images together, and blending them to make it fit. I wanted something that would make sense together but still was out of the ordinary. I got my idea from looking through pictures until I saw an image, a lightbulb, that I liked and thought how it would look cool if there was a whole scene going on inside of it. So, I started to search for more objects that would look random but also make perfect sense in the light. I sketched out my ideas to plan for it and thought of multiple ways to incorporate the light how I wanted it. The importance behind my project is just showing how small we really are in this world. The lightbulb is sitting on a beach but the surfer and the ocean are inside the lightbulb. This is giving an illusion that we are really not that big. I purposely used the blend tool a lot because I thought it made the edges of the lightbulb mix together better and it helped to distort the original shape of the surfer and ocean. I wanted the image to be more rounded so it really looked like it was in the lightbulb. I think what I enjoy most about my project is the way I added the light source back onto the lightbulb so it still kept its 3D shape. I also did enjoy the shading at the bottom of the lightbulb where it is more transparent so that you can tell the lightbulb has depth. Although, if I were to go back and change anything, I would change the size of the image. I would make the lightbulb a little bit bigger so that you can focus on it more rather than the sand and sky surrounding the lightbulb.

The objective of my project is to create a self portrait that really captures who I am and everything about me. To start brainstorming for this I found a picture of myself that I liked and kept it as my theme. Then, I went and searched for more photos that would fit into my theme, but also depicted me. I went with more of a bordered and filtered look, I think this supports my idea best because it is very clean cut and organized. I liked the look of the dark borders with all the black images. I used a quote by Michael Clifford because he is one of my biggest inspirations and his words really fit into my theme. They helped to support my goal because they really meant something to me and are important to my life. My favorite part of this work is the way all the images surround me. I love the way all the black and white images contrast against each other. Although, if I were to go back into my project and change something I think I would add in different and more filters on the images just to give them even more difference.

My goal for this project was to bring an image and words to life by choosing a quote that I could embody through Photoshop. To start getting ideas for this I went through my playlist and picked out every song that held a significant meaning to me. I was left with Jet Black Heart by 5 Seconds of Summer and Drive by Ashton Irwin. The lyrics to this song are significant because it shows being able to find yourself in a hard situation and powering through. This is why the background was simple and didn’t distract from the message of the lyrics. The typography in my project works well because it is simple and not distracting. The more significant words are bolded and brought out to bring attention to them. The color of the typeface is simple and clean and matches the picture, it really ties them together. On top of it all I added in some splatter that is meant to look like noise or grain. This helps to give it an older look and goes well with the words and meaning. I am very happy with how this turned out and I really like the way that the bigger more important words do catch your attention first and really pull you in. If I had the chance to start over, the only change I think I would make to it would be to test out different ways of putting the fonts and try maybe rounding some of them instead of making them all straight lines.
