My idea is to paint a picture of my dog as realistic as I can. I got this idea because I thought it would be easiest to paint my dog since I know exactly what he looks like. I was inspired to paint him because I always feel loved by him no matter what.
I started off by painting the background all one color. Then I projected the picture on my canvas and traced all the lines. The next thing I did was start mixing my paints so I could start painting. I had to make lots of tan because that's what color Wilson is. Eventually I got to start painting and just adding different shades to match the picture of Wilson.
The artwork symbolizes how adorable and comforting Wilson looks. I wanted my audience to see how friendly Wilson is, just by looking into the painting. The only symbolic imagery in this work is how friendly and comforting Wilson can be.
The most difficult part was figuring out where to start. I didn't know what colors to put where and I was worried I wasn't blended them into each other right. I overcame this struggle by asking for a little help and Ms. Garrity got me a little start and made it easier for me to go from there. If I could start over, one thing I would change is by waiting to start the eyes until all the fur was done. When I got stuck and didn't know what to do next I started to add colors to the eyes.
This artwork is the realistic type. This is unique in my opinion because it has a personal meaning with the relationship between me and my dog. I love everything about it because I love my dog so much!
My idea was to paint a mountain with a water stream flowing from it. I painted the sun and birds to add detail to the background of my circle. Once I finished the inside of the circle, I realized the background of the rest of my baseline was still too simple. I decided to paint the background an ombre rainbow to give it extra color.
The first thing I did was draw a circle in the center of my paper. I then drew in mountains and a stream coming from the mountains. The next step I did was start painting in the things I drew. I added details like birds and darker lines as I went. Then once I thought I was finished I went back and painted a rainbow on as the background.
This artwork is supposed to represent how life can be as calm and colorful as you make it. It is up to you how much happiness you let into your life. If you close out the happiness, you won't have color in your life. Be creative and joy and peace will be brought into your life.
The most difficult part of my baseline painting was figuring out how to blend the different colors together so the mountains and grass didn't look like a straight line. I did add a little bit of shading to the mountains to make those look a little more real. I also struggled with how to do the birds but I figured out how to just blend those in with the sky.
This artwork is the abstract style. It is abstract because I made it up and put different objects together to create a landscape. This baseline painting is unique because I didn't have to look up any inspiration pictures, I just free handed it.
My idea was to paint a bunch of colorful flowers in a jar. I got this idea because one of the topics we needed to paint was an object and one of my favorite objects is flowers. I love to smell and look at flowers because they are so beautiful. The inspiration picture came from one of my friends because she works at a flower shop so she gets to assemble flowers all the time.
The very first thing I did was paint the background of the canvas. I decided to paint the background a light purple because that is my favorite color. I had to be careful not to paint the background any of the colors of the flowers, because I didn't want the colors to clash. After I painted the background I traced the flowers from a printed paper which went onto the transfer paper which went onto the canvas. Once the flowers were all traced I started to go in with the green and worked my way to filling in the other colors. Then once I had the base of every color painted I finished off by adding in all the small details to make the flowers look as realistic as possible.
This artwork shows that there is so much beauty in a bundle of flowers. I want my audience to think that the jar of flowers looks very realistic, but I also want them to think that it isn't a real jar of flowers according to the background. There is no symbolism in this jar of flowers, just that I love flowers.Â
The most difficult part for me was deciding what colors to put where. I didn't copy directly from the inspiration picture because I wanted to free hand the color organization. I also struggled with the detailing on the flowers. I wanted to try my best to make the flowers look as realistic as possible. I overcame the struggles by asking for a little help, and just trying my best with what I thought looked good. If I started over I would've added more detailing to the bigger flowers because they are the most obvious and I would want them to look more realistic.
This painting is the realistic type of artwork. In my opinion I think that the most unique part is that I used a real image that one of my friends took. I didn't have to go online and use somebody else's picture, I just used one of my friends' who gave me permission. I love how the painting turned out, and I am very proud of myself.
