This is my baseline painting. i painted this at the very beginning of the semester when I had no experience with painting whatsoever. I love the look of sunsets and shadows in front of them. i didnt know how to paint a buck, so I decided to just make that a shadow instead of in color.
This is my finishline painting of a buck. I really focused on blending colors this semester. I took more time to paint this piece this time. I used smaller brushes to make the antlers this time. I also used a sponge to make the little blurbs on the trees. I tried to make it look more leafy. I still used the same technique on the grass. I also painted the buck at a different angle so you could tell what it is this time around. I feel like it is a major improvement compared to the beginning of the year. I also painted it on a bigger canvas because i wanted to capture the elements and truly show my artistic growth from this semester.
