This project was an idea from my teacher. At first, I wanted to make a portrait of me in a car taking a picture of the rainy clouds. I noticed if I tried to do this for a grid project, it would be way too much. First, I started by doing the grid and drawing from 3x3. Then once I was finished I used chalk, the blending stick, and colored pastel pencils. This artwork was a very difficult and long process project but in the end, it was worth it. To me, this means just a teacup on a big huge book. I want my audience to know that this took time and was a work of progress. What made me struggle, a lot, was how the teacup came out a little crooked and the lights were either brighter or darker than the image itself. I didn't overcome the struggles, instead, I let it stay how it is because when you do chalk, there's no going back. This is more realistic because it is a teacup on a book. It looks like a picture that was made to be a unique aesthetic picture. I love how unique it is.
I wanted to draw a vase with slanted lines of flowers. I got the idea from Google. I drew this because it looked interesting and simple but a little challenging. It was very easy and fun to draw, but it did take about 30 minutes. The only thing that I used was a pencil because it was a baseline sketch—my first sketch. The artwork means a lot making it my first drawing idea. It was easy with the shading and sketching. The audience should just see a shadeful vase with flowers inside. The most challenging part for me was how the flowers had more and more to them. It just kept adding on. I just did what I had to do and it came out right. I wouldn't change anything if I started over. This is more realistic because it is just a vase with flowers in it and that's what vases are for. I love how good I did, making it look exactly like the idea I did.
