Kolt Miller "Football"
8x10, Acrylic on canvas, 2025
My idea was to paint the grass so you could tell the lights were shining down onto the field. I got it because it was my first time playing varsity football and I wanted to do something I liked. This was a great life experience and thats why I wanted to paint it. First I traced it with white graphite so I had the outline of the painting. Then I painted the background which is the sky and the grass. After that I did the people. I used paint markers a lot on the people and a little on the grass. This artwork shows that hard work pays off because I worked hard to play varsity. I want them to think about the last time they were at a football game. The hardest part was doing the little details on the people. I found ways and techniques that worked. One thing I would change is adding more shadows. The style of art is realistic. I did it a little bit different then the picture. I love that it freezes one of the best moments of my life in one painting.
Kolt Miller"Baseball"
8x10, Acrylic Paint, 2025
I want to make this pretty realistic with some cartoon. Right now I still am trying to make it realistic. I am inspired by me thinking about last baseball season. First I trace my background and the main part. I using paint markers and paint. This artwork shows how much better I got at baseball. I want my audience to look at me. The most difficult part has been the background with little details. I just do everything very small. I would change nothing so far.
This is realistic artwork. Its unique to me because it is me and I worked hard for that. I so far I love the background.
Kolt Miller"Moutains"
8x10, Acrylic Paint, 2026
My idea was to have a sunset and mountains and to make the mountains the first thing you notice. Me and my family went to the rocky mountains and we loved it and I wanted to paint some mountains. This was technically inspired by my baseline that I wanted to make better. First i sketched out the mountains then I used a paint marker to go on the edges, after that I filled in the mountains, lastly I did the sunset. On the sunset I had to make sure that I blended the colors like an actual sunset. My artwork just means peace and quiet. I want my audience to want to be there in the mountains. The most difficult part was getting the purple and orange to blend well. I overcame that by trying it multiple times. If I started over I would redo the orange to purple blend. I would say this is realistic art. It is uniwgue to me because this is what I remember seeing when we went to the rocky mountains. I love the yellow to orange blend.
