My idea was to try and capture my personality. I used colored pencils and markers. I drew multiple patterns and shapes. The most difficult part for me was to try and organize the sections where I wanted them but still look good. This style is abstract because everything is everywhere and nothing is in a specific order.
Elevator Pitch
The Apple Logo hasn't really changed from its original black outline of the apple so I decided to add some color to the original outline. Bright and vibrant colors attract the eye unlike plain black. I got hippie vibes for the design and went with it. The smiley face was the final touch.
My idea for this work was to capture my sisters and I's bond and our childhood. We had so much fun when we were younger and I loved to edit us in a way that showed both our past and our present selves. I also put our flowers in that I think represents each of us. The bond I have with my sisters is so important that I like to make art of it a lot (if you go to my drawing tab you'll see the upper right picture drawn out).

This portrait is the outline of me and inside are things that I like or enjoy. I am the type of girl to take sunset pictures or pretty sky pictures everywhere I go so that is what I put for my background. Also, if you know me you know this about me, I love flowers. So because of this I put flowers in my hair. It took me a while to get just the right image for the hair to look good. I like this self portrait and am proud of it.

My idea for this was to make a design for a quote that everyone could get some wisdom from. I think our world needs more patience. I feel like we're quick to talk or defend but sometimes the best thing to do is to breathe and wait. I used the gradient tool for the words. It was difficult to get the right flower bouqet because I wanted it to be simple. I think what I found represents simplicity. I think this quote represents me in its simplicity and coloring.

I made this for my dads birthday a few weeks ago. I couldn't post it right away because I hadn't given it to him yet because he does look at this website for whatever reason (hi dad!). I made this for my typography portrait because I wanted him to see how I see him by using adjectives and other words describing what he means to me. He also loves my mom very much so I put her in it too. I put words that I felt described them on their clothes and then I put 'I love you' all over their skin which is hard to see. Thats the only thing I would change is the colors of the words so that they would be easier to see. I am very proud of it and it is still one of my favorite art works in graphic design class.

For my final project in Graphic Design 1 I chose to redesign one of my all time favorite books, If He Had Been With Me, by Laura Nowlin. I don't want to spoil the crazy ending of the book but its very sad and dramatic so I tried to replicate and show that in the new cover. I think the filter on the title and the text making it sort of wobbly and unsure is perfect. The ending also happens on a rainy night so I though that the window with the water drops was perfect. It was hard to find just the font I wanted but I found it after looking for like ten minutes. It was super fun to recreate a cover for a book I like so much!
For my other Final Project I at first just wanted to put myself in the famous Last Supper Painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Suddenly, I added my dad who starts messing with Jesus. Then my mom popped up out of no where as an angel. My dogs appeared on the tables and my sisters joined in as well. When I started I couldn't stop so it grew into something bigger. I posed each family member in a way that I think represents them. My dad thinks he's hilarious and he's not a Christian so he's messing with Jesus. My mom is so sweet and kindhearted so I think she's a perfect angel. Carleigh, my oldest sister, always is in the spotlight and is the center of attention whether she wants to be or not. Lily, the middle sister, is just happy to be there and is very energetic. This is by far my favorite Graphic Design project I've done yet. I think I might frame this one and put it right where everyone can see it by the front door.
