My idea was a panther looking off to the side. I got the idea because I looked up animals to paint and I choice this one. Inspirations were my grayish black cat at home. I kind of made my painting in mind of my cat and thought it would be cool the panther looked like him. My process was just winging it I joined this class to learn how to paint. The tools I used was paint brushes, water, and paint. My artwork doesn't have a meaning and I want my audience to think about how good my skill is. There is no symbolic imagery in the painting. The most difficult part about this painting was not getting the teeth right and restarting. I overcame the struggles by just trying over and over again. If I would restart I would not spend a lot of time on the teeth. The style is realistic but I didn't get enough done to look like it. The ears were done differently from the reference and it is my personal style. I love the outline of the panther and I think it was done good.
