Hailey Green "Ocean Breeze"

The idea for this painting was to show the beauty of nature. I got this idea because my family loves to travel and we see so many beautiful landscapes that I love sharing with others. Seeing these wide-open parts of land that are just breathtaking is such an inspiration to paint. I started out by making the background with the deep blue water and the browns for the rock and then I went in and added the little details like the waves and the greens to show the bushes and grass growing. After that, I just continued to make the little details pop out even more. I used lots of little paintbrushes to make the little things come together. This artwork shows the beauty of nature that we tend to take for granted. When people see this work I want them to think about the things that we get to experience and how we need to fight harder for the earth that we have and that we constantly trash and ruin. I think it just shows how we need to be grateful for what we have. I think the hardest part was making the rocks look 3d and not flat. I fixed that by adding shades of brown and black to the painting to make them pop out more and not just be a solid color. If I could start over I would still work on the background more to make it look more real and add more detail to the green bushes so they would look more real. This art is realistic. I wanted it to look as real as the picture as possible. I think that it's unique to me because I took the picture and got to see it firsthand and recreate it on how I remember it. I love everything about this painting it reminds me of the day that I got to see it first hand and it brings back good memories.

Hailey Green "Sunset"

The idea behind this painting is to show the loss of a loved one. I got this idea when I lost my soul dog. When he was still alive we would sit there and watch the sunset together and when he passed I still sat there and watched the sunset alone because I knew that he was up in heaven giving me these beautiful sunsets to look at. I first started by painting the background with the reds and oranges then I just went in several times to blend the colors. I then went in and added the birds and the little highlights to add in those little details. This artwork means a lot to me because it holds lots of memories. When people look at the artwork I want them to think it's as beautiful as I do maybe even having people relate to the painting just like I do. The hardest part was blending in the colors to make a nice smooth effect. To make sure that the colors really look blended and not patchy. I fixed this problem by adding the white and lighter colors to make the colors go together really nicely and adding water to make the colors thin so they can mesh together. If I could change anything it would be making the sun stick out more and not be so blended into the painting. This is a realistic painting. I think that its unique to me because of the memories that I have with it and this sunset was a very memorable one. I love everything about this painting.

Hailey Green "Real world "

The whole idea of this painting was to show how we ruin nature. I got this idea by just seeing first hand how we just ruin the earth and how we need to take better care of what we have before it's gone. I first started by painting the background that bule fading color and then I painted the black tree to show the darkness and to make it look dead. I just used acrylic paint for the whole thing and just did alot of blending. When people look at this painting I want them to think about how we damage the world and how we have to protect the good parts before we ruin that to. I think that its important we try to fix are mistakes like all of the pollution we have created and all of the trees and plants that we have destroyed. The most difficult part of this painting was making the tree look dark enough. I fixed this problem by mixing different blacks together so that way it was super dark. If I could change anything about this painting it would be doing several trees instead of just doing one big dead tree. This painting is supposed to be a realistic painting. I think that this painting is unique to me because it shows how I think about the earth. My favroite part of the painting Is the blue background I think that it looks super cool.

Hailey Green "may"

My idea for this was to make the birth flower of someone who is very important in my life. I got this idea because I recently bought a necklace with a flower on it. I think the flower is just beautiful and full of life.

I started by making the stem then I put the petals on the flower in different shades to make the flower have dimension and pop out more.

This art work means alot to me because it reminds me of a very special person I have in my life that brings me lots of joy and really made my life better. When people look at this piece I want them to think of their special people and the ones they love.

The most difficult thing was to make the right color shades to make the flower pop out more and have some dimison. I fixed this by taking a while to mix and find the right colors and make the perfect shades. If I could change anything it would be to make the flowers smaller so I could have more flowers on the painting. I just didn't have enough time.

This is a realistic piece of art. I wanted it to look very real just like the flower. I love this piece so much because it holds so many memories that have a special place in my heart.
