I actually got this idea from PicsArt, PicsArt is a photo editing app that I downloaded on my iPhone. When I was looking for a background for one of my photos I came across a picture of a Stag in the moon lit night, it wasn't a painting but it was so captivating and really simple. I give credit to the girl that made it @sarahhimark99 2019/Jan14 on PicsArt. For this painting I used Blue, White, and Green paint for the base color, I actually went back to finish the background a couple days later and added a little too much blue to the mix, but I mixed it just enough to leave very faint streaks that really look like soft raindrops witch was an accident but I really love that about it. For the moon and the Stag I free hand drew them on and then filled them in with the obvious colors. For the grass I added layers of black and gray. When people look at this they should think of peace and tranquility of the night, the silhouettes of the stag and grass show the aesthetic of night. Plus the fireflies add so much action and movement to it. This type of art is realistic.

“Fall of Mid October” by Grace Mosier
For this painting, I wanted to do an open scenery landscape with a farm somewhere in the midground. I started my sketch with tall grass in the foreground with a path leading the viewer to the main eye catcher, farm. I started working on the lawn grass as well as the barn, tree, mail box, and fence. I did the background trees and the harvested corn field right after each other. Then the gravel road and driveway. The clouds which I kept adding details to like lighter grays on top and darker shades on the bottom for depth, I also made the storm head seem swirly to add wind characteristics, and then the house with the light on the inside was the last part. The thing about this landscape is that it is not a real place. I just made it up. The most difficult thing in this painting for me was doing every detail on a very small scale, I used my small brushes so often. My favorite part was the clouds because I was so worried I was going to mess up but all I did was make the far back gray color, then I used dark gray and lighter gray swirled together for the clouds coming upon the farm house. This is a realistic painting. I really like this painting because it has so many details. People should think of the beauty and tranquility of nature and man made objects both together and separate when they look at this painting.
“A Pint Of Cotton Candy” by Grace Mosier
So I love ice cream a lot!!! I just came up with painting the Whitey’s one pint container on a canvas because kudos to Whiteys I really love there design for it, it’s very satisfying. The techniques I used were really just creating the effect that the container was setting on a gray background and using the main colors on the container to bring the object forward. The most difficult thing was trying to sketch out the words!!! OMG I can't tell you how many times I had to re-write the words to get them the way I liked. If I messed up I would quickly wash off the area with paint brush and water and then use white paint to start over. This is realistic art as well, It just seems like something I would paint for an object painting. I love the fact that when I look at it it makes me hungry for ice cream!!!
