I have just finished it and I'm not 100% sure I like how it turned out. It's very different from what I was imagining. The image turned out to be very sci-fi looking. My mind went from scaring people who had a fear of snakes to space alien snake. It looks kinda cool if you are into that kind of stuff but I honestly think I might have put too much detail into it. The circle looking things around in the background and the one it's going through are supposed to be portals. Maybe this idea popped into my head because we are learning about space and black holes in science. I know I started the idea off with making the snake look like it was crashing through the glass of a portrait to give a better fear factor. I thought that maybe people would be more scared if it looked like the snake was actually crashing through the glass towards them. The white all over the snake is it's spine and vertebra's. The green triangles in patches are it's scales, I was given the suggestion to do this but I honestly think it would have looked better the other way around. With scales all over it and patches of bones peeking through the skin. I suppose I made a dimension crossing snake, which is a cool idea, but it wasn't what I was starting out with. This piece may not be my favorite but it's a cool one. Pictures don't always have to be the exact as what you thought it would look like. In fact my artwork almost never turns out how I first picture it. I always add things along the way and that makes it fun. The reason I'm so disappointed with this one is that I don't really like it. I'm sure somebody will though and I hope it makes somebody happy.
This is definitely one of my new favorites. The idea I had is That sonic is in the middle of a fight and Eggman is floating above him in one of his egg-mobiles. That's why the shadow behind and under Sonic is so big. I also really love the color scheme. I think I did a really good job on the shading as well. I'm not really good with shading since I usually don't know what I'm doing or where to out it. But this time I think I really made it look 3D this time. The window is pretty crooked but I don't think you notice it without looking for more than a second. It may also look like I put a bunch of time and effort into the wall but I have a simple explanation. for the bottom part of it the reason I have so many colors in it is because my marker was dying and I think I had to get another one, but that one was dying too. Also for the shading on the wall behind sonic, that was actually intentional. It's kinda hard to spot without pointing it out but I did everything behind sonic a darker color. Plus a little bit in front to show how Eggman is flying above him. I also made it a bit rounded because I see Eggman riding that round contraption from 'Sonic Boom.' The one thing I don't really like that I havnt mentioned yet are his socks. Man, his socks haunt me. It took me so long and so many different way but I finally just settled on whatever those are. I still don't like it but it'll have to do. Anyway, I think my favorite part is the shading and coloring on Sonic. It was very fun, even if I struggled a bit in the beginning. I love drawing characters and I hope I can do it again.
This is one of the most horrifying pictures I've ever drawn. It only took my a little over an hour but This is terrifying. Can you imagine a spider going down onto you head and you don't even know? It's not my best drawn or my favorite or anything, I just think it's the most horrifying thing I could have imagined up, and I draw some dark stuff. I could have made it more even, have the head and the spider more centered in the middle, but oh well, no turning back now. Honestly, this picture is just something that I made because it popped into my head. While I was making it I actually turned away for a second and when I looked back I almost jumped out of my seat. That spider is creepy. Which I suppose is a good thing considering that's what my theme is supposed to be.
