Dalton Yarolem" bowl of bananas "
8.5 by 11, painting, 2020
My idea was to make a plate of bananas, apples, and grapes. My idea evolves because the plate wasn’t aligned with the table. I changed the plate into a bowl instead. My inspiration was from a sketch I did. I started with the table, then the bowl. I did the wall next to the painting on the wall. My techniques were to paint and add. The artwork means food. I want the audience to think about food. The most difficult part was the plate and thinking about how I would paint it. I overcame it by adding a bowl. If I was to start over I would change the bananas and make them more floaty. What makes it unique to your own personal style? What do you love about it? The painting is realistic. My personal style is a pencil drawing.
