Dalton Yarolem “nature sunrise”
12 x 18, paper, 2020
My idea was to draw a landscape. I got the Idea by combing four different images. The idea evolved when I stopped looking at the images and started sketching. The inspiration was from a camping trip. My process was to start with the path than the stream of water, Then the background, and the sky. The technique that I use was combo and blending the colors together. The tools I used were colored pencils, a sharpie, and a pencil. The artwork’s meaning is nature. I want the audience to think about, is water pollution. The sewer going into the body of water. The most difficult part was coloring the trees to match the tone to the darker areas. I overcame this by coloring and blending the trees as best I could. If I was to start over I would color and blend the trees on the right side better. The style is surrealism, my favorite part was the process of the tree and the sky.
