Drawing 1

  My idea was to draw a Jordan shoe I got this idea because I wear the Nike brand a lot and I would say it is my favorite brand. I first drew a grid so the lines of my drawing could be more accurate. Then I started to draw the back of the shoe because that is the easiest part of the shoe. Then I started with the front of the shoe and I worked up the shoe. But when I got to the shoestrings I started to struggle because they were a little complicated but I figured it out.  Then I finished the drawing by drawing the stitching. I just a normal pencil to draw the entire shoe. This brand has had a huge impact on the world and seeing what he did during his career he inspired kids. The most difficult thing for me was the shoestrings because the lines looked all jumbled up and it was hard to see where the line was ending. I overcame the struggles by focusing on one line at a time. I would change the sole of the shoe because the line isn't very straight and I would like to clean up the bottom line.  The style of my art piece is Pop Art, and it is unique because you can see all of the stitching. I love the look of the stitching because it makes it look more realistic and I also love the inside of the shoe with the Nike swoosh.

I started to draw the back of the shoe first because that is the easiest part to do in my opinion. Then I started to draw the top half of the shoe and then I drew the detail and that made the shoe come together. Then I started coloring the shoe. I used a black colored pencil to do all of the black spots and I used a blue colored pencil to do the rest of the shoe. I drew this shoe because I think Micheal Jordan is the best basketball player there has ever been and his shoes are very popular with the youth and older people. The most difficult part for me was the coloring process because I do not like to color my drawings. I do not like to color them because I think they look better without color. If I could change one thing about my drawing it would be the colors because on the bottom of the shoe, there were lines and now you can not see them anymore. I would choose lighter colors because the lines would be more visible. The style of my art is pop art. My favorite part of the shoe is the black because it makes the colors pop out a lot more.

 My idea for this art is to make a flower because they are simple but beautiful. I got my idea from looking at ideas on the internet. I first had to draw my idea on a normal piece of paper and print an extra copy so I didn't ruin my original drawing. Then I had to make an imprint on a sheet of foam to make it so I could print the drawing on another piece of paper.  I used ink and my template to make the piece of artwork. I want people to think it is beautiful. The most difficult part was to make the indent deep enough so that all of the lines show up on the print. I would change the big flower to another flower because the big one just looks random in the middle of the paper. The style of the art is printmaking and my favorite part of the artwork is the small flower because it has some detail.
