I was basing my painting on the movie Fight Club. It stands for the search for identity and meaning. How can you be yourself, yet you want to be someone different? I started by drawing the two faces. One side has dark lines and the other has lighter ones. For colors, I used a cool color for one face and a warm color for the other. I blended the colors as best as I could and kept fixing them until they looked right. The two faces mean that everyone has more than one side. The colors show different feelings, like being shy or being confident. I want people to think about the sides of themselves they don’t always show. The hardest part was getting both faces to look good together. I had to redo a lot until it looked balanced. If I did it again, I might try to make it look even more different between the faces. My style for this piece mixes real-looking faces with some more style. What stands out is having two faces together. I like that it makes people think about who they really are inside.
I've been drawn to night skies my whole life. It inspired me to make a painting of a night sky. I knew I wanted a sky with stars, but as I was painting, I realized I wanted a moon and a tree. I had to start with blending the night sky for the background. I had to use a mix of blue colors to try to get it dark at the top, yet get lighter near the bottom. Once completed, I had to paint the stars. I used a paintbrush and flicked on tiny dots to resemble stars. Next, I had to draw the grass, and I used a fan brush to try to get small strokes. The tree and the moon were pretty simple; I just lightly tapped a brush for the leaves of the tree. There's not much meaning to the painting; I just wanted to paint something that makes you realize how beautiful skies can be. Blending the colors to try and look realistic was very tough for me; it took me multiple tries. I would say my project is non-objective

My inspiration for this piece of artwork was my life on my grandma's farm. I've been around cows my whole life, especially Jerseys, so it wasn't a tough decision to paint this. This was not an easy painting for me. I started, of course, with outlining the cow, its head, body, nose, and eyes. I then had to start painting, just starting with a base, but then moving to the details of the fur. I then moved on to the eyes and mouth. People might not feel much from this painting, but it means more to me than anyone else would; you would have to know my background to understand this isn't just a painting of a cow. The hardest part was the fur. I'm a pretty beginner painter, so it was hard to make the fur look like actual fur, and not just non-detailed paint. If I could redo something, I'd try to make the fur look better. I think my painting is realistic.

My inspiration for the artwork was the harsh truth about are future. It is a important topic for today and thought it would be good to paint about. I thought maybe I should show what good and bad looks like, the good being without global warming and the bad showing what it could come too. I started by drawing the planet and then putting a line through half of it to split it. I than used a blue green mix to paint the background, and a yellow orange for the other side. Next I moved to the planet and the tree, trying to mix the colors. I want the audience to open there eyes, this isnt a problem that will just go away, it well effect us and are future family. The most difficult thing was mixing the red and orange, it just really didnt blend well.
