I wanted to make a pitcher that I could put yummy liquids like Kool-Aid and lemonade. I started by grabbing some clay and beginning to pound it. Trying to remove all the air bubbles and compress it. Then I began to try and shape the clay into a slab so I could roll it out. I then began to form the clay into a pitcher shape, making sure to score the pitcher. I think the only thing I want to symbolize in this artwork is the process that it takes to make; this was made from clay into a beautiful piece of art. Making the handle of the pitcher was very tough for me; I honestly did not do it the right way, but instead, the inefficient way.

I wanted to make a pumpkin that I could use as decoration for my house. This was a very tedious process that took precision and focus. I started by forming my clay into long coils. Using the coil method made this project a alot easier, but it was also difficult. I started at the bottom, slowly coiling upwards and outwards to form a sphere-like shape. I then had to bring it back inwards. While doing this, I am also smoothing out the coils, connecting each one slowly, forming a smooth sphere. I then had to get the lid. cutting in a pattern to mimic a pumpkin head. Next, I made the stem, not a hard thing to do, and I made some lines to form some texture. I had to move on... starting to carve out the face. I wanted to keep this simple and not over the top. I now had to fire this bad boy in the kelm, didn't take too long. I bounced back and started to glaze. I didn't want to use acrylic paint; it would give it that middle school art look. The hardest part was smoothing out the coils espically near the top of the pumpkin, and also keeping its shape.

I needed some trays for sauce at my house. I struggle with this daily. I can't fit the sauce on my plate, so this is what my design was for. It was on the easier side of things, but I started by trying to form 3 separate bowls. I used alot of finger strength and precision. I next needed form all 3 of them together. Using some techniques ive learned I was able to do it. Then we bang that thing in the kelm and its time to glaze this thing. Went with a darker color, I mightve went a little heavy on the coats to get the color I turly wanted but I still like how it turned out. The most difficult thing was smoothing it to look like little cups. I think they couldve looked more neat and smooth, yet I still like how it turned out.

I decided to make an envelope for my next project. What I learned is Oragami is not my specialty, not at all. This envelope is supposed to fold open and be able to hold stuff inside, a cute little gift for someone, I thought. They made me fold...and fold... and fold. Really tight folds that weren't easy for me. Yet, I did it, and it kind of worked. The hardest part was getting the folds in order so that the rest would not get messed up.
